Kwando Lagoon Camp is on the banks of the Kwando River in the Linyanti Kwando Concession in northern Botswana. It offers luxury tented accommodation and excellent year-round game viewing. In an area where predators are abundant, there are also elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, sable antelope and many other species. The popular Animal Planet programme Mad Mike and Mark was filmed in the Kwando area.

Kwando Lagoon Camp sits under large shady trees on the banks of the Kwando River in the Linyanti Kwando Concession in northern Botswana. Small, private and exclusive, this camp can accommodate 12 guests in six twin-bedded luxury safari tents.

Luxury Tents

Each tent has en-suite facilities and offers views over the lagoon in front of the camp. There is 24-hour hot and cold running water, his and hers basins, and an open-air shower. Two of the tents are connected by a raised walkway – perfect for a family travelling together.

Various Game Viewing Options

Game viewing at Kwando Lagoon Camp is usually by vehicle or by boat. Daily morning, afternoon and spotlit night drives are conducted, as well as walking safaris. The camp's double-decker boat is the ideal spot for bird watching, photography and game viewing from the Kwando River. Fishing (on a catch-and-release basis) is allowed, also from the banks of the lagoon. All activities are conducted by highly trained safari guides.

Delicious Dining

Meals are served in the comfort of the thatched dining room overlooking the lagoon. Guests are often entertained by families of hippo wallowing in the shallows. The camp also has a comfortable lounge, bar, gift shop and a refreshing plunge pool.

Getting there

Access to Kwando Lagoon Camp is by light aircraft to a nearby airstrip.
